My mind is not at peace.

Good afternoon to everyone.

My mind is not at peace. It is one hell of a recovery after the season opener of Formula Drift in Long Beach. The body and mind is extremely sore and hurting. It was quite hard to lose in the first round of Top 32 and get left at the line.

Despite the emotional downfall, my mind is working overtime to solve the problem quickly. Solutions are the only option. Once realistic solutions are drawn up we must execute them as soon as possible to see if they will work. My mind is not at peace.

After 23 years of motorsports, losing never ever feels good and you never get used to it. What happens after the loss is the key. I am relentless and we will solve this issue swiftly and successfully. There is no other option than success. My mind is not at peace.

I have complete faith and believe we will see Joon on that podium soon enough but................things take time. We must stay patient and focus. This is a work in progress. Nothing will come easy. The loss that occurred this weekend will fuel our passion to fight on to succeed. We must pay our dues. My mind is not at peace.

There is much to do and I am fired up to get into the garage and so I will leave this blog with a poem written by Dylan Thomas that Bergenholtz Racing gains inspiration from:

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

-Dylan Thomas

"NEVER SAY DIE IN THE FACE OF DEFEAT."
